Social media post ideas for estate agents
Chances are, you promote your vacancies on sites like RightMove and your website, but social media networking sites are also an effective marketing tool, provided you use them correctly. So here are some social media post ideas for estate agents and letting agents, to get you started.
Property listings
I’ll start with the obvious one. Promote your vacancies on your social media platforms. It’s also worth giving them a small boost on Facebook for just £5-£10, targeting your area. Encourage people to tag and share your content with their friends.
Remember to take some professional-looking photos, and include a phone number for people to ring if they’re interested.
You can also add additional information, such as the features of the property, the cost of the deposit and other selling points to sweeten the deal.
Stress the benefits of your company
Estate and letting agents are super competitive. What gives you the edge?
Perhaps you have an outstanding average rating from clients, you go above and beyond when marketing people’s properties, or you provide free maintenance on your tenancy properties. Whatever your company’s unique selling points are, share them!
Tips and advice
There is an endless amount of tips and advice you can provide which link to your industry.
Home maintenance advice could include sharing a video on getting stains out of the carpet, top tips on making your home eco-friendly, or winter home maintenance jobs. You only have to take a look at the success of Mrs Hinch, an Instagrammer who has amassed over a million followers simply by posting daily updates on keeping your house looking its best.
Home design inspiration
People love to look inside other people’s houses (or maybe just me?!). You can find and share stunning properties – not just ones listed by you but any gorgeous properties around the world. Source content from Pinterest and interior design blogs.
Local news
As an estate agent in a local area, you’ll be expected to know your area well. Prove that you’re a part of the community by sharing your area’s news – this type of content works really well on social media.
Even better: give a “shoutout” or special mention to local businesses which you or your staff members like to use. You could list your favourite local eateries, hotels, etc. They’re likely to be very grateful for the mention!
Competitions and giveaways
Go even further and collaborate with a local business to offer your audience a prize. Aside from increased brand awareness, you’ll increase your follower numbers. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive – vouchers or a hamper will be enough to get people engaging with you.
